Life in a busy city can be challenging for all of us, and our pups are no exception! At Academy, we use science-backed positive reinforcement (R+) principles to teach your dog to stay calm and focused on walks and training sessions — even when encountering the crowded streets, unexpected noises, and other types of distractions that go hand and hand with city life. Our trainers work closely with your pup throughout the day to build foundational skills including loose leash walking, impulse control, recall, relaxation, and appropriate play — just to name a few! And with lifetime access to our online classroom, weekly personalized demonstration videos, and daily in-person recaps with your pup’s trainers, we make sure to keep you in the loop every step of the way.

Adolescent Academy FAQs
The best way to ensure the effectiveness of a training plan is to make sure that all parties are on the same page. We reserve time at the end of each day during the checkout process for questions, updates, and coaching, and we encourage guardians to be proactive about communicating with their trainers during this time. On top of that, we provide guardians with customized homework assignments at the end of each week that complement the work we do with their dog in-facility. Reviewing the educational material in the online classroom and practicing the exercises with your dog over the weekend helps to ensure your dog is learning every day, and it also helps you develop your skill set as a trainer and advocate for your furry family member.
Sometimes life happens! That’s why we’ve built flexibility into our program. You and your pup are welcome to make up any missed days during the week after your session.
