From One Puppy Class to SF’s Most Trusted Training Center
Founded in 2018 in San Francisco’s Mission District, PrimePaw started with a simple belief: dog training should build trust, not fear. Our founder, James Baybayan, saw too many dogs struggling with outdated, punishment-based methods and knew there was a better way.
What began as a small operation in one room has grown into a comprehensive training center. We’ve helped over 4,000 dogs and their families, always staying true to our core commitment: 100% positive reinforcement, science-backed methods, and treating every dog as an individual.
Today, we’re proud to be San Francisco’s #1 rated puppy training program and an official partner of the SF SPCA. Our team has grown to 12 dedicated trainers and staff, our facility has expanded, but our mission remains the same: building confident, well-adjusted dogs through compassionate education.

This is going to sound cliche, but if you want a well behaved and respectful dog then go to Prime Paw. Our dog did Puppy Day School and Adolescent Academy.
